Mohamed El Assy: I want the fans not to worry, we aren't going to get relegated

The Club Managing Director highlights that this start to the season obviously came as a bad surprise but assures that UD Almería never give up and will surely reverse the situation

After newly appointed head coach Gaizka Garitano's official presentation at the Power Horse Stadium press room, Club Managing Director Mohamed El Assy answered the questions asked by the media and gave an assessment on the team after these opening Matchdays: 'It's a bad surprise, we didn't expect it to be like this, nor dismiss our previous head coach. We were also going through a rough patch with Rubi, but we decided to give him a chance, but this time was different as we felt we weren't on the right track.'

Given the growing concern express by the Rojiblancos' fans, Mohamed El Assy sent them a clear message: 'I understand that the they're worried, however we already know that UD Almería never give up, the fans have a lot of experience and they've never given up. We know that they trust us and I want them not to worry because UD Almería aren't going to get relegated to the Segunda Division.'

'This project, since we arrived, has achieved many successes, but in difficult times, we've felt the unwavering support shown by everyone around the Club, we've always ended up achieving the objectives,' Mr El Assy underlined.

The UD Almería CEO has also made it clear before bringing his press conference to a close: 'We need to get closer to those teams that are now just above relegation spots, there's still a long way to go in the season and we're going to work hard to reverse the situation.'
