First 'final' for UD Almería Women against Sevilla FC 'B' Women

The Rojiblancas host direct rivals Sevilla at 12 noon on Sunday at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium

UD Almería Women will face their first major 'final' this Sunday in their bid to reach the play-offs for promotion to the Segunda RFEF, a difficult goal, but still mathematically possible. At 12 noon, at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium, the Rojiblancas host Sevilla FC 'B', direct, very direct rivals in the race for promotion.

The Sevillianas are 4th with 51 points, and the Almeriensistas, who are aiming for their opponents' position, sit fifth with 46. The girls cannot afford to let things slip… not this Sunday or in subsequent matches.

It's worth highlighting that Sevilla FC 'B' Women have an easy schedule on paper, while the UDA girls Almería are much more difficult because a week later they have to visit Granada CF B' Women, who are fighting for automatic promotion with Betis. Current leaders Sport Extremadura, still have to visit the Youth Stadium, although they will do so as a segunda-division team.

It's a matter of taking it one game at a time, and the next step is to beat Sevilla FC 'B' to continue on the path to the play-offs. In the first half of the season, the Rojiblancas shocked everyone by winning 3-4.
