First day back on training ground

UD Almería complete their first pre-season training session after the pre-season medicals as preparations for the 2026/27 campaign get underway

UD Almería completed their first training session of the 2026/27 pre-season this Wednesday at the Club's training ground, following the squad's routine medical examinations on Monday and Tuesday.

The Rojiblancos are back on the pitch as preparations begin for what promises to be a demanding campaign, with the objective of reaching the start of the season in the best possible condition. The coming weeks will be crucial in laying the foundations of the new project and allowing the players and coaching staff to build relationships on the training ground.

It was the first session under new head coach García Pimienta, with plenty of ball work featuring from the outset. Summer signings Álex SolaJorge Pulido and Andrej Popović also trained with their new team-mates for the first time.

Absent with the Club's permission following their international commitments were Brian Cipenga, who represented the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the FIFA Club World Cup, and Quim Junyent, who recently lifted the UEFA European Under-19s Championship with Spain.

The workload will gradually increase over the coming days. The Indálicos will complete 2 training sessions on Thursday before switching to a single morning session on Friday. Saturday will again feature double sessions, with morning and afternoon work-outs, before the players enjoy a rest day on Sunday ahead of the following week's preparations.
