Pozo: 'We play at home again, with our fans; hopefully this unlucky streak comes to an end'

The 23-year-old right-back asks the UD Almería fans for support and understanding. He assures that everyone in the squad is really eager to bounce back

'We play at home again, with our fans so we have to take advantage of it to try to put an end to this losing streak now and get all three points,' stressed UD Almería right-back Alejandro Pozo as he sat down with UDA Radio, the Club's official radio station. The player is once again available for selection after recovering from a minor injury that prevented him from playing at the San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao.

The Sevillian footballer reflected 'the first days after a defeat, the team are screwed up,' although he then pointed out 'but as days go by, you forget about it and try to focus on what's coming next, always aiming to improve and correct the mistakes.' In fact, Pozo indicated 'I see the squad keen to give it their all so that attitude can lift us physically and emotionally on Saturday.'

UD Almería will go all out to get back to winning ways with a much-needed victory over next visitors Rayo Vallecano, Madrid-based rivals who 'are going to let us play a little more than Athletic and we have to take advantage of it,' said Pozo, who at the same time asked for the support and understanding of the UD Almería fans: 'I'd like to ask our fans not to be nervous because a match lasts 90 minutes, anything can happen. We must be patient and not go crazy since it's vital that we add points again.'

In addition, as the Huévar del Aljarafe native clarified, 'we're on Matchday 7 and this is very long.' Pozo recognised 'it's such a shame that the team don't score goals and the truth is that always, apart from last Friday in Bilbao, we've been fully involved in all the games, creating chances. We're accustomed to having more goal-scoring opportunities. Hopefully, this Saturday we can demonstrate our football skills so our supporters are feeling happy again and we're able to find the back of the net.'
