… Pozo from Sevilla FC last done deal before transfer window closes

The last signing moves on loan with an option to buy. Almeria-born Javi Robles promotes to UD Almeria first team while Aguza departs the squad

UD Almería close out the transfer window with the addition of Alejandro Pozo, one of the most sought-after players in the transfer window, who moves on loan with an option to buy from Sevilla FC. He is only 22 years old but he has wide experience competing in Primera Division and even made his debut with the Spain squad last June.

The Sevillian player is the 8th signing made by UD Almería following Dyego Sousa (forward), Babic (central defender), Carriço (central defender), Portillo (midfielder), Arnau (midfielder), Curro Sánchez (midfielder) and Juanjo Nieto (right-back).

Alejandro Pozo Pozo was born on 22 February, 1999 in the Sevillian town of Huévar del Aljarafe and trained at the Sevilla FC Youth until he made it to the first team, with whom he played in LaLiga Santander, in addition to featuring in six Europa League games. During the last seasons, he was sent out on loan to Granada CF, RCD Mallorca and SD Eibar, with the latter two playing in Primera Division.

Pozo is an absolutely competitive, fast, hard-working player who can operate as a right wing back. At times, he has also been in action on the left flank and as a midfielder too. He has also represented Spain from U16 level up to senior level last June.
On the other hand, UD Almeria ‘B’ Javi Robles, who has been training since the pre-season started with the first team, will be competing in second-tier LaLiga SmartBank from now on. The midfielder made his debut in the Professional Football League (LFP) in the opening match against FC Cartagena this season.
The transfer window has been in full swing and therefore, Sergio Aguza will be another player who departs UD Almeria while Dani Albiar heads out on loan to CD Alcoyano competing in Primera Division RFEF.
