Portuguese Daniel Carriço joins Almeria’s discipline on Monday

The new UD Almería centre-back is going to take his medical this Monday before training normally

Portuguese centre-back Daniel Carriço, signed by UD Almería, is going to join the Rojiblancos’ discipline and take his medical this Monday before being able to join training normally. Keep in mind that the former Sevilla FC player and captain was playing in Wuhan (China), and after signing the termination of his contract with the Chinese club he travelled to his home country, Portugal.

The new signing is now in Almería city. He is the fifth Rojiblanco signing after the additions of Juanjo Nieto, Arnau Puigmal, Curro Sánchez and Portillo. He is 33 years old and will bring a lot of experience, leadership and strength to the UD Almería squad. He was nicknamed El Comandante (‘the commander’) in Sevilla FC, with whom he won three Europa League titles.
