García Pimienta calls up 3 UD Almería 'B' youngsters

The UD Almería gaffer drafted in Houssam, Marciano and Kassoum for Wednesday's training session, with several first-team players absent. Miguel de la Fuente missed out with a fever, while Thalys was rested as part of his workload management programme

UD Almería returned to training at the Anexo base on Wednesday, with a number of notable absentees prompting head coach Xavier García Pimienta to call on several players from the Club's 'B' team.

Miguel de la Fuente missed the session as he was feeling unwell, while Thalys was rested as part of his workload management programme. Vesga was also absent from the group session, instead completing an individual programme in the gym.

With several first-team players unavailable, the coaching staff called up Houssam, Marciano and Kassoum from the Club's youth ranks.

The training session focused on ball work, passing and circulation, as well as counter-pressing after possession was lost. It was the team's second training session of the week as preparations continue for Sunday's fixture.

Sola was also absent for disciplinary reasons.

UD Almería have 3 more training sessions scheduled before welcoming CD Leganés to the UD Almería Stadium on Sunday. It will be the second consecutive home fixture for the Rojiblancos, who will be looking to maintain their winning run and make it 6 victories in a row.
