Physical, tactical and mental training ahead of the match in Albacete

The Rojiblancos will try that the ‘empty’ Carlos Belmonte Stadium does not take them by surprise. This Thursday, the training session will be held behind closed doors.

This Wednesday, Almeria trained in the Anexo football ground to continue preparing in detail their next match against Albacete Balompié, which will be played, behind closed doors, at a half-empty stadium in Albacete. The players will have to adapt to a different scenario and will have to be mentalised throughout this week. It will undoubtedly be a fact that will have a significant impact on the squad during the match. Therefore, it will be important to put enough intensity and concentration to compete from the very first minute next Sunday.

Today’s training session was divided in different parts; the first one was developed inside the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium with a video-session on the positive and improvable aspects of the last game and later on, they took part in a circuit workout and played some rondos with the ball. Afterwards, José María Gutiérrez was giving instructions focusing on offensive and defensive tactical drills. Finally, there were several small-sided games, in which the players belonged to different teams. Almeria feel a burning desire to continue achieving victories.

This Thursday (10.30 a.m) the training will be held behind closed doors at Juegos Mediterraneos.
