Permission to take off

The UD Almería prepare for the match in Burgos with the tailwind of their recent victory but aware of what awaits them at El Plantío. Baptistão worked on the sidelines and changes are looming due to the 'FIFA virus'

In aeronautics, the take-off consists of different stages and UD Almería after breaking their poor run of results, is in a position to take flight in a competition, that is absolutely sealed off with many teams in very short supply. There's no doubt that the victory against Real Zaragoza was a necessary morale boost, nor that Burgos CF have to be the ground that puts UD Almería in its place.

Rubi's team knows they're facing a team that has achieved three consecutive victories, three clean sheets, and only one win less than the Rojiblancos. The goal is undoubtedly to win away again and start the winning streak that will return the team to the top of the table.

UD Almería completed its first training session this Tuesday of this express week leading up to the opening of Matchday 32 at El Plantío. The FIFA virus has conditioned the team with the absences of Lopy and Langa, especially in the case of the Senegalese, who has started consecutively in the last 19 starting lineups except for two matches in which he was booked.

In Tuesday's morning session, which was again drenched in water, Baptistão continued recovering from the injury that kept him out last weekend, and injured Baba, Chumi, and Rachad were also absent. In this regard, and as their training is with the first team, 'B' team player Perovic, who is with Montenegro U20, is also out.

The team will train behind closed doors on Wednesday and Thursday, and on Friday, the day of the match, they will travel to Burgos.
