Vicente Moreno: We've spotted many aspects to improve and this is vital
The UD Almería new head coach shared his thoughts on the first pre-season friendly and was happy with the attitude, the victory and the room for improvement towards the next games
UD Almería head coach Vicente Moreno, shared his thoughts on the first pre-season friendly played against CP El Ejido and did not hesitate in stating that he was happy and satisfied because, as he said: 'We've spotted many aspects to improve and this is vital because it's a sign that we have room to continue improving.'
In addition, as he specified: 'We have to win even a game of marbles because through victories you can work better.' Although the difference in tiers of the two teams is considerable, the UD Almería gaffer positively valued the positive attitude and performance of his players, as well as also the intention of the Club of building the best possible squad before LaLiga kicks off.
Moreover, Vicente Moreno recognised that there will be many changes to the squad over the next weeks. He explained: 'We came after training hard and it's hard to start but I'm happy with the performance that has been put in,' in which one of the main objectives were 'to continue with our pre-season build-up and distribute minutes.'
In this first match, he opted for a 4-2-3-1 formation 'which isn't something that will always remain because as I've already said on the day of my official presentation, we work on different systems depending on the players who we have, from the opponents…'
On the other hand, Vicente Moreno highlighted: 'It's made me happy to return to this stadium of a second division team that I had previously visited.'
