Pepe Mel's era' begins at UD Almería

Bruno Langa, after serving a one-math suspension, and Almeria-born UD Almería 'B' player Marcos Peña are the fresh faces in the Madrid native head coach's first squad list. The Rojiblancos head to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria this afternoon

Bruno Langa and Marcos Peña are the fresh faces in Pepe Mel's first squad list, with respect to the previous stage, for this Sunday's game (4:15 p.m.) against UD Las Palmas at the Gran Canaria Stadium, where a new era for the UD Almeria first team under the guidelines of the Madrid native head coach begins.

The Mozambican left-back is available for selection again after having served his one-match ban, while the UD Almeria 'B' player, whom Pepe Mel has praised, joins the team roster due to the midfield absences of Edgar and Lopy, who against Sevilla FC saw their fifth yellow cards of the season. Luis Suárez and Koné are still on their way to full recovery.

UD Almería are preparing to face a new challenge at the Gran Canaria Stadium, such as to be able to get the first victory of the season. The newly appointed head coach has had very little time to prepare this encounter, especially trying to change the mentality of the players. Quality rivals will be hosting them, who play good football and who despite making their debut this season in the top flight, are having a brilliant campaign. Pepe Mel knows them perfectly, but also the adversaries know his coaching style who built up the current UD Las Palmas team.

The Rojiblancos completed one las training session at the Power Horse Stadium, the third delivered by the new gaffer, before flying charter at 5:25pm to the Spanish island.

Squad list:

Goalkeepers: Mariño (1), Fernando (13) and Maximiano (25).

Defenders: Radovanović (16), Alex Pozo (17), Marc Pubill (18), Centelles (20), Chumi (21), César Montes (22) and Bruno Langa (24).

Forwards: Choco Lozano (15) and Marezi (29).
