Intra-squad game at the training base
The UD Almería first team footballers, accompanied by 8 B team youngsters, focus on tactics in the final stretch of the international break week
UD Almería have taken advantage in this fourth training session amid this international break in which there is no league competition to play an intra-squad game at the Anexo training ground with the participation of the 8 UD Almería 'B' team players. The youth team players have been called up to senior-team training due to the absences of internationals Mendes, Baba, Lopy, Koné, Kaiky and Lázaro.
The UD Almería 'B' youngsters, who are now following head coach Vicente Moreno's instructions, are goalkeeper Bruno Iribarne, although he has been working with the first team members since the beginning of the summer pre-season; full-back Peñalver, centre-back Paco Sanz, midfielders Marcos Peña, Antonio Jesús Cantón and Joan, as well as wingers Hugo Neves and Valen.
After a warm-up and activation exercises, the gaffer has lined up two teams that have faced each other in an intra-squad match of two halves of less than 45 minutes, in which Vicente Moreno made substitutions as the players recreated different match situations and focus on tactics that they have previously worked on in the previous training sessions of the week.
Mr Moreno would have liked to have all his troops in training to achieve greater adaptation, but several of the new faces in the squad are away on international duty: Baba, Lopy and Koné.
The football practices are giving positive results and this Friday, UD Almería will hold the last session of the week, now without the 'B' team youngsters as they will return to UD Almería 'B' with head coach Alberto Lasarte to prepare for their imminent debut in the Tercera RFEF. The first team members will have Saturday and Sunday off.
