UD Almería 'B' show potential in pre-season clash against Juventud de Torremolinos CF

UD Almería 'B' kicked off their pre-season preparations with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Juventud de Torremolinos CF, falling 3-0 in a match that served as a valuable assessment tool for head coach Alberto Lasarte.

Played at the Anexo UD Almería Stadium, the fixture marked the second week of training for the Rojiblancos’ 'B' team and offered a first glimpse at several new signings. Despite a balanced start, the greater rhythm and conditioning of the Malagueños, who began their pre-season earlier, began to show as the game progressed, eventually resulting in a comfortable win for the visitors.

For Mr Lasarte, however, the result was secondary. The gaffer used the match to experiment with tactical setups, simulate specific match situations and, most importantly, give his youth squad vital minutes on the pitch. The outing yielded several positive takeaways as the team builds toward the 2025/26 campaign.

UD Almería 'B' will return to action next Saturday in another pre-season test, this time against Recreativo Granada, as they continue their gradual return to competitive intensity.
