Medical Report: Bonini suffers hamstring injury in right leg
The Italian centre-back will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks following injury in last match against FC Andorra
UD Almería have confirmed that Federico Bonini has suffered a myotendinous injury to his right hamstring muscle, sustained during the last league match against FC Andorra. The Club's medical staff have estimated that the Italian centre-back will be out for a period of 6-8 weeks.
Bonini was unable to finish the match in Andorra, having been substituted before the half-time break. After undergoing several days of tests and medical evaluations, the full extent of the injury has now been determined. Considering the Christmas break and the individual circumstances of his recovery, it is expected that the Italian will return to action by the end of January.
In other medical news, UD Almería head coach Rubi confirmed that both Léo Baptistão and Chumi have been medically cleared to return to the squad after several weeks on the treatment table.
