Paco Sanz: "It'd be a dream to be named in the squad list against Real Madrid CF"

The UD Almería 'B' defender has been joining the first team for several weeks in training and is well aware of the opportunity that he may be given: 'I'm very excited to go there, my family is from Madrid and it'd be very special'

UD Almería 'B' defender Paco Sanz has been training regularly with the first team and is becoming a regular player in the sessions. 'I'm very grateful to be able to take part in these training sessions with the first team, the vibes are good, but I have to continue working hard to continue dreaming, because at the end of the day, you dedicate your entire life to football to be able to live these types of experiences. I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest as long as it lasts.'

The excellent opportunity to head to the Spanish capital with UD Almería to take on Real Madrid CF could become a reality and given this fact, Paco Sanz does not hide his sheer happiness if it were to happen: 'It'd be a dream to be named in the squad list against Real Madrid CF. I'm very excited to go, my family is from there and it'd be special.' Although he also clarified and assured: 'I always have my feet on the ground.'

The UDA Academy 'B' team defender also told UDA Radio that he makes the most of all these sessions with the senior team and pays full attention to everything around him. The youngster revealed his secret: 'A couple of years ago, I started meditation and mindfulness help me reduce stress and be more aware of everything that happens to me, I enjoy the experience more and I adapt everything to reality.'

Sanz trusts that Gaizka Garitano's team will get through this unwanted situation. 'We're getting good vibes, both in training and in games, they all work very hard and I'm pretty sure that the reward for this huge effort will come. We must move forward because the results we want will come eventually,' he explained.

The Aravaca-born player also spoke about the undefeated run the 'B' team is on: 'One of the keys has been the adaptation to the tier, we're very young, but since we started we didn't have fear of anyone. Furthermore, it has been a success to promote the Division de Honor Juvenil block [UD Almería U19s] because we had grasped all the concepts that our head coach wanted and we've created a great team and a great family.'

The 19-year-old also highlighted: 'The Tercera RFEF is misleading, there are brilliant players and very professional teams'. Meanwhile he warned of the strengths of the next rivals: 'Without a doubt, Atlético Malagueño are going to have a very tough match.'

To bring his interview to a close with his colleagues from UDA Radio, Paco Sanz assured that they are going all out for the top spot in the table: 'We're convinced of reaching automatic promotion, Alberto Lasarte also gives us confidence in this aspect. We believe that at our pace, we're going to improve the results we've obtained in the first half of the season.'
