A new-look UD Almería 'B' side begins preparations for the 2026/27 season with fresh faces, Academy talent and the ambition to compete every week
UD Almería 'B' returned to training at La Vega de Acá base this week to begin preparations for the 2026/27 campaign, ushering in a new era under head coach Pablo Nozal. Following the mutual agreement to terminate Salmerón's contract, the 'B' team embark on a fresh project that will compete in the fifth-tierTercera RFEF with a renewed squad determined to enjoy its football and fight in every match.
Nozal arrives with extensive coaching experience, having managed clubs including CF Fuenlabrada and AD Alcorcón. He also spent 7 seasons working in the youth academies of some of Spain's leading clubs, most notably Atlético de Madrid, bringing a strong background in player development that perfectly aligns with UD Almería's philosophy and long-term vision for its academy.
UD Almería 'B' have welcomed new signings ahead of the new season while retaining the core of several key players. In addition, a number of standout talents from UD Almería's under-19s have earned promotion to the 'B' team as they continue their progression through the club's academy system.
