Only league progress in Almeria’s thoughts!

The Rojiblancos get back to work with sights set on Saturday's game vs Leganés. Sadiq and Alex Centelles, available again

Almería got their training week started this morning with the firm intention of recovering the good vibes and their ideal version of the game in order to wrap up victory again after having picked up just one point on the last two matchdays. On the plus side, Almeria sit third in the LaLiga SmartBank table, two points behind runners-up RCD Espanyol, despite missing the golden opportunity to have taken a big step forward last Sunday. The Rojiblancos are aware of it and will try their very best not to let that happen again.

In point of fact, that was discussed in a meeting between the squad and the coaching staff prior to the first practice of a training week that will end on Saturday with the game against fourth-placed CD Leganés, three points behind Jose Gomes’ team... Then, UD Almeria visit neighbouring side Malaga CF on Tuesday, 30 March and next, host Rayo Vallecano, on Friday, 2 April. This is undoubtedly a key phase in the league calendar, although the Indalicos are now turning their attention to the next opponents CD Leganés.

The situation calls for effective action on the Anexo training base with those players who got more minutes in Ponferrada performing a recovery session. Sadiq, who did not join his national team in Nigeria in the end, and Alex Centelles, fully recovered from his ankle injury, are available for selection again. On the contrary, internationals Jorge Cuenca and Ramazani will miss out as they will be playing for Spain U21s and Belgium U21s, respectively.
