UD Almería Women will be looking to get their first points of the season on the board when they welcome CD Getafe Women to the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off set at 12 noon.

The Rojiblancas head into Matchday 5 still searching for their first points of the season, despite producing performances that have deserved more. They currently sit in the relegation places alongside EM Fuensalida, with both newly-promoted sides finding the step up to the division a demanding one.

The Getafe players arrive in Almería sitting in mid-table, having picked up 2 wins, a draw and a defeat from their opening 4 matches. 3 of those games have come at home, while their only away fixture so far was a 0-2 victory over Fuensalida.

The visitors bring plenty of experience, having competed in the second tier of Spanish women’s football as recently as a couple of seasons ago.

Meanwhile, UD Almería Women will be determined to turn their recent performances into points and finally get their season up and running. The Rojiblancas have been close to securing a positive result in previous outings and will be hoping their hard work is rewarded this time around.

Head coach Pedro López and his girls' squad are putting the finishing touches to their preparations ahead of another important league test on Sunday.
