UD Almería chasing third straight win

The Rojiblancos return to training determined to make it 3 Ws in a row and rebuild their stronghold at the UD Almería Stadium

UD Almería resumed training after Tuesday’s day off with a high-intensity, behind-closed-doors session at the UD Almería Stadium. The focus was on preparing for a demanding test against FC Andorra, a side that caused the Rojiblancos significant problems in the first half of the season.

Back-to-back victories over in-form AD Ceuta FC and rivals Cádiz CF have halted a negative run of 3 games without a win, including 2 consecutive defeats. Now, UD Almería are targeting a third straight triumph as they look to keep climbing in an extremely tight league table. A win would also mark the beginning of a renewed push to re-establish their Stadium as a fortress.

The Andalusian side are eager to close what they see as their quota of home setbacks: 2 draws and 3 defeats so far this season. By contrast, last season they lost just once at home and drew 7 times. Restoring their strength at the UD Almería Stadium will be crucial, particularly with 2 back-to-back home fixtures on the horizon against FC Andorra and Córdoba CF.

Head coach Rubi welcomes back Dzôdić after suspension, while Lopy and Nico Melamed, both nearing the end of their respective injury recoveries, remain under assessment.

The squad will train again on Thursday, once more behind closed doors at the UD Almería Stadium.
