Nikola Maraš: ‘I’m one hundred percent’

The fit-again Serbian centre-back thinks that Almería must stick to their style of play in Fuenlabrada

Nikola Maraš explained to the club's official media, that he has made a full recovery and is ‘available to help the team as he is one hundred percent.’ The UD Almeria centre-back recognised that ‘it has been tough days.’ ‘When you’re in, you think you can contribute. When you are out, everything is more difficult,’ he stated.

The 25-year-old player previewed the Rojiblancos’ visit to Fuenlabrada. In his opinion, it will be ‘a really difficult game. However, I believe in my team. I'm pretty sure we’re going to get a good result.’ In addition, the central defender underlined that the Madrid-based side will have different characteristics in their game because of the change of head coach.

Maraš gave his take on the next away meeting and pointed out the vital aspects to pull off a victory: ‘We have to be strong at the back and try to play our football at all times to win the game as we know.’

The defender believes that, after falling to Sevilla FC in the Copa del Rey tie, the Rojiblancos have to focus squarely on LaLiga SmartBank and their next rivals. ‘It’s not easy when you play, as in recent weeks, against teams like top-flight sides Alavés, Osasuna and Sevilla,’ he commented while mentioning the importance of ‘taking each game at a time and all three points as far as possible.’

The Belgrade-born Rojiblanco finished the chat with the club’s official radio station talking about the arrival of new team-mates to the squad signed by the club over the winter transfer window, highlighting that ‘they’ll adapt in no time’ and ‘the squad will be there to help them and they’ll join forces too.’
