Nikola Maraš given the all clear and available again

Almería focus on the league as Saturday’s trip to Fuenlabrada beckons. José Gomes has all his troops available

UD Almeria centre-back Nikola Maraš has been given the all clear and is available again, so if José Gomes considers it appropriate, he will be able to count on him for the imminent league appointment in Fuenlabrada (Saturday, kick-off 8:30 p.m. CET).

The Serbian footballer, who joined his team-mates last Monday, has been training normally this Wednesday, when the Rojiblancos have resumed their footy practice following their brilliant performance in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

Now that Almeria’s Spanish Cup run is ended, the squad are turning their attention to LaLiga SmartBank and the club’s prime goal, promotion to the top flight. Saturday's outing keeps the squad on their toes as the game is expected to be as tough as the others. It is worth mentioning that the next rivals have new coach José Luis Oltra in the driving seat.

With Nikola Maraš back on his feet, José Gomes has all his players available for selection. Meanwhile, the boss is waiting for the last two signings made in the winter transfer window to arrive.

According to the training programme, the squad will be back in the Anexo office again this Thursday, at 10.30 a.m. CET. Before heading out to Fuenlabrada (Madrid) on Saturday morning, the players will have completed one more practice behind closed doors on Friday.
