Mohamed El Assy: ‘I think that between 79 and 82 points are needed to move up to the top flight’
The UD Almeria Director General makes his predictions for promotion to the LaLiga Santander
UD Almeria Director General Mohamed El Assy considers that in order to move up to the Primera Division ‘between 79 and 82 points will be needed,’ as he stated to the media at the press conference held to present Nelson Monte as a new Rojiblanco player. After the Portuguese footballer's official presentation, the Club’s CEO took all the questions from the media as it happens every time he is at the Juegos Mediterraneos press room.
Mohamed El Assy made his predictions about what it will take to earn promotion to the top flight when questioned about this issue, although he clarified that it is difficult to forecast in a competition as difficult as LaLiga SmartBank.
On another note, Mohamed El Assy commented‘we’re having very bad luck with injuries, especially long-term ones, but I reckon we’ve brought in two good central defenders to fill the gaps.’ Meanwhile, as he specified ‘I hope and trust that Nelson's presentation will be the last one for the rest of the season.’
When speaking of the Lusitanian defender, he said ‘we had been scouting him for some time and I wish him the best of luck at UD Almería.’
