Miguel de la Fuente commits future to UD Almería until June 2029

UD Almería exercise their purchase option from CD Leganés as the striker signs a 3-year contract to become a permanent member of the Club

Miguel de la Fuente will continue representing UD Almería after the Club exercised the purchase option agreed with CD Leganés during his loan spell.

Following the completion of the deal, the striker has signed a new 3-year contract that will keep him at the Club until June 2029, becoming a permanent member of the UD Almería first-team.

The Club have secured the services of a player who proved to be a key figure from the moment he arrived during the January transfer window, thanks to his outstanding performances. Miguel featured in 25 matches, starting 23 of them, while scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists.

The original agreement included a mandatory purchase clause in the event of promotion. Although UD Almería narrowly missed out on achieving that objective, the Club entered negotiations with CD Leganés to complete the permanent transfer, underlining their determination to retain the striker.

Miguel de la Fuente also made it clear that he wants to continue his journey with UD Almería.
