Winning the ball or putting a foot wrong

UD Almería head coach García Pimienta's men train knowing that every ball could prove decisive against Real Sociedad 'B' this Saturday. One final session on Friday before travelling to San Sebastián

Winning the ball or putting a foot wrong: for UD Almería, it could go one way or the other depending on how they approach Saturday's match against Real Sociedad 'B' at the Zubieta stadium. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, head coach García Pimienta repeatedly stressed that, beyond technical and tactical considerations, one thing is non-negotiable if his team are to keep picking up points: staying fully focused.

UD Almería trained at the training base  on Thursday, focusing on the quality of their opponents and on how little past results tend to count for in any second-tier fixture. The Rojiblancos' coaching staff put together an intense session, reflecting the level of intensity they want to see out on the pitch in every phase of play.

The squad will hold one final training session on Friday before setting off for San Sebastián that afternoon for Matchday 10 of the league campaign. Ely and Vesga will be unavailable through injury, as the gaffer confirmed during his press conference.
