Internationals Mendes and Marciano join collective training
International players Lopy, Baba and César Montes will rejoin their team-mates this Friday. The UD Almería travelling squad will be flying charter to Madrid after lunch
Mendes and Marciano are the first international players to rejoin UD Almería. After being away on international duty with the Guinea Bissau squad, both footballers have trained along with the rest of their team-mates this Thursday morning. After touching down in Almería last Wednesday, they did an active recovery session at the gym.Furthermore, in the football practice held at the Anexo training base, striker Rachad has been the only 'B' team youngster who has participated in the first team's session.
UD Almería will be put through their paces in one last session this Friday with the presence of Lopy, Baba and César Montes, who have played for the national teams of Senegal, Ghana and Mexico, respectively, in this recent international break.
The Rojiblancos have trained on the Anexo pitch, where head coach Gaizka Garitano has conducted tactical drills and strategy. At noon on Friday, the squad will be training in the Power Horse Stadium. Then, the players will have lunch at the same facilities before heading to the Almería airport to catch a charter flight to Madrid at 4:20pm local time.
