Melero rejoins the squad in training

The UD Almería first team players are out through their paces in the UD Almería Stadium to complete their preparation for Saturday's match against current co-leaders Burgos CF, an undefeated team as visitors

UD Almería midfielder Gonzalo Melero has rejoined the group after returning from Madrid where, with permission from the Club, he travelled to attend the birth of his second child. The player exercised on the sidelines last Wednesday upon his arrival and is now training normally with the rest of his team-mates.

This Thursday and Friday, the first team are working their socks off behind closed doors at the UD Almería Stadium to flesh out the details of their preparations with the aim of trying to bounce back in the league by achieving the first victory of the season at home, which would be fundamental for a team that, to everyone's surprise, has fallen to the relegation spots to the third-tier Primera RFEF.

Rubi, as we have already reported, will not be able to count Lucas Robertone, who will undergo shoulder surgery this Friday in Madrid, while Marc Pubill, who suffered a LCL sprain in his left knee almost 15 days ago, is working his way back to full recovery.

UD Almería have worked on the tactics they will display this Saturday in order to overcome the next opponents Burgos CF, who are the current LaLiga Hypermotion and have not been defeated yet in their travels. They shared the spoils in Córdoba (the hosts scored 2-2 on 90+8') and won in Huesca and La Coruña.
