Lázaro Vinicius: 'I've met a team with joy and confidence'
The UD Almería player returns to UD Almería in a very different situation from the one in which he left on loan to SE Palmeiras. The attacker says he feels good and eager to play: 'I know what I can contribute and I want to help the team achieve the goals.'
'I've met a team with joy and confidence, a very different atmosphere than when I left,' stated UD Almería player Lázaro Vinicius on UDA Radio, the Club's official radio station. The Brazilian attacker left a year ago on international loan to Brazilian first-tier side SE Palmeiras when UD Almeria were in the drop zone. Now he is back in Almería.
When talking about his loan spell in Brazil, the 22-year-old explained: 'It's been good for me to leave on loan, although I would've liked to play more. I started well, with confidence and having minutes, but an injury that lasted more than a month cut off the progress I was making.'
Now back in Spain and at UD Almería, his desire is to 'play and help the team.' He said to feel in good shape and emphasises that 'with confidence I know what I can give of myself, which will be good things.' Lázaro was signed when the team had just earned promotion to the top tier and in that first season, he had a brilliant final stretch of the campaign, scoring 6 goals and being UD Almería's second top scorer. Rubi played an important role in his performance, as the footballer himself recognised: 'He's always cared about me. Now, when I came back, he spoke to me and I consider his support very important.'
The Brazilian has not played in the Spanish Segunda division, a tier that 'as team-mate Kaiky told me is very tough, it has great players and historically great clubs.' He considers that it will be key to extend the positive run of results that has led them to the top of the table, and on that note, he pointed out: 'There's a lot left to do, the squad has a lot of quality, but work and humility will be key to being able to reach the goal in the end.'
