Marezi will be on the treatment table between 6 and 8 weeks

The UD Almería B forward suffers a sprain to the external collateral ligament in his knee left, an issue that he picked up in training last Thursday, as he joins the long list of injured players

UD Almería forward Marezi joins the long list of injured players in the squad after suffering a sprain in the external collateral ligament in his left knee, an issue that he picked up last Thursday in training. Once the medical tests are done this Friday, the extent of the injury will keep the Serbian footballer on the treatment table between six and eight weeks.

The young attacker, who belongs to the 'B' team, although he is joining the first team squad, was beginning to clock up minutes under the instructions of Gaizka Garitano given the absences of Luis Suárez and Koné, who each suffer long-term injuries.

Marezi played in the Copa del Rey tie, getting off the mark with a superb goal, and also had a cameo in the second half of the match played at the Medizorroza stadium on the last Matchday. The above-mentioned Luis Suárez and Koné are set for long stints on the 'treatment table', as well as Marc Pubill and Šviderský. All of them, with the exception of the Colombian, have undergone surgery.

In addition, Alex Centelles is working his way back to full fitness from a muscle injury and has been ruled out for this match, as Mr Garitano confirmed during the pre-match presser that he gave before Real Sociedad's visit.
