Marciano sprains his right knee and Fernando has a slight muscle injury

Both UD Almería players have undergone an MRI scan at a medical centre in Marbella

UD Almería 'B' striker Marciano, who got injured in the friendly against UD Las Palmas, has sprained his right knee, while goalkeeper Fernando Martínez, who was forced to come off the pitch during a training session feeling some discomfort, has a slight muscle injury, a micro-tear in the quadriceps of his left thigh. These are the results of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans carried out in a medical centre in Marbella.

At first, Marciano's setback looked more serious than actually it is after watching the images of the play in which he was injured. In the end, there is no ligament damage, as confirmed by Dr Diego Portugal, UD Almería medical team coordinator, who has travelled with the group to Benahavís.

Both the 'B' team striker, who is joining up with he senior team in the summer pre-season, and the UD Almería goalkeeper and captain are now involved in their recovery processes with the physiotherapists of the Club medical staff.
