Marc Pubill shortlisted for new Spain U21 call-up

The UD Almería right-back, gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, remains in the national team's plans. There is a new team get-together with two international games in September

Marc Pubill has been shortlisted by Spain under-21 for a team get-together that will take place in September and in which two matches will be played corresponding to the qualifying phase for the 2025 European Championship.

The UD Almería right-back, who claimed a medal gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, remains in the plans of the national team led by Santi Denia. The players, who finally make it onto the final squad list will have to join on 2nd September after Matchday 3 and will be with the team until 10th September or they will miss Matchday 4.

Spain will face Scotland and Hungary, on 6th and 10th September respectively; in both cases away from home. The Spanish team is the leader in the group. Their last match of this qualifying phase was played at the UD Almería Stadium, beating Belgium with a great performance by Marc Pubill, as he also had recently in the Olympic Games.
