Marc Pubill: "I'm at 100% physically and available to help my team-mates"
The UD Almería right-back has spoken to the Club's official media and has assured that he is now fully recovered from the injury he suffered. 'I've felt frustrated over these months because you see the team suffering and you aren't able to contribute,' he said
UD Almería right-back Marc Pubill spoke to the Club's official media to talk about his recovery and how he has lived these months off the pitch without being able to help his team-mates. The player has stated: 'I'm happy to be back with the team, I'm at one hundred percent physically.'
In addition, the 20-year-old player has reduced his time on the treatment table: 'He is meant to start training at the beginning of February, but we've been shortening the deadlines.' He assured that to achieve this 'attitude and work make the difference' and emphasised: 'I'm prepared both physically and mentally and available to play.' Meanwhile, Pubill has also confirmed that he has lived these months away from the pitch 'with frustration, because you see that your team-mates are suffering and you cannot be there. When you're in action, you can do your bit, when you're injured off the pitch, you cannot.'
January is going to be a month with important games coming thick and fast for the Rojiblancos, starting with CA Osasuna, ending with Deportivo Alavés and two stern tests against Real Madrid CF (away) and Girona FC (home). For Marc Pubill, this calendar is 'the beginning of a complicated year, but at the same time fun, the team is going to face it with great enthusiasm.'
Focusing on the next opponents, CA Osasuna, the UD Almería full-back highlighted that it is a 'difficult pitch where they always push not no to drop points, but we're going to give everything and take the three points back home.'
The Terrassa native gave his thoughts on the delicate situation in which the team is at the moment and has stated: 'We aren't going to give up, we're going to fight until the very last day.' Furthermore, he highlighted 'We don't see ourselves far away, we believe in it.'
Marc Pubill has capitalised on this Christmas break 'to disconnect and recharge his batteries' and he is hoping that 'the positive results begin to arrive in 2024, that we continue competing and that we stay up in the top flight.' This is how his interview for the Club's official media concluded.
