Marc Pubill called up to Spain under-21 squad

'I'm very happy. It's going to be a great experience,' says the UD Almería player, who highlights that it would be spectacular to be able to play at the Power Horse Stadium for the Spanish team

UD Almería right-back Marc Pubill has been called up to the Spain U-21 squad for the double-decker that the national team will face against Slovakia U21 on Thursday, 21st March in Jerez de la Frontera and against Belgium U21 on Tuesday, 26th March at the Power Horse Stadium. 

'I'm very happy, it's going to be a great experience. It was a great one when they called me to the Spain U19s before so now, with Spain U21, much more,' said the Rojiblanco footballer. 

Furthermore, both games are going to be special. The first friendly against Slovakia U21 because they will have Martin Šviderský in the line-up, who is now playing on loan from UD Almería for Real Murcia: 'In addition to being a team-mate, he's a friend and I'll be very happy to see him again.'

The second game, which is a very important qualifier for Euro 2025, will be played in Almería: 'It'd be spectacular to play with the Spanish team at the Power Horse Stadium,' stressed Marc Pubill, who has been congratulated by his team-mates and by the new coaching staff of the UD Almeria first team.
