Luis Suárez makes injury return against Rayo Vallecano

The Colombian striker, who had not played a game for three months and medium, jumped on the pitch in the 74th minute. On 31st January, he had to undergo surgery

Luis Suárez has finally made his injury return as he got his first minutes in his legs after shaking off the serious injury he picked up back in October and from which he relapsed subsequently, which even forced him to undergo surgery on 31st January.

Last week, the Colombian began training with the group normally and despite not being fit one hundred percent, head coach Pepe Mel not only included him in the Vallecas squad list, but also lined him up in the final minutes of the match. The 26-year-old jumped on the pitch in the 76th minute replacing Choco Lozano. He spent approximately 20 minutes in action.

Luis Suárez was injured on 1st October (Matchday 8) while playing against rivals Granada CF at the Power Horse Stadium. He had grabbed a sensational hat-trick and when the match was about to end, he fractured his left fibula. He then opted for conservative treatment and although in January he played some minutes against Girona CF, first and Real Madrid CF later, he did not fully recover so on 31st January, the Colombia native was operated on by prestigious doctors Pedro Luis Ripoll and Mariano de Prado.
