Low-intensity training before turning attention to Real Zaragoza

The Rojiblancos exercise at the Anexo. Tuesday off. Back to high intensity training on Wednesday

UD Almería resumed low-intensity training at the Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos after having Sunday off. Given that this will be a long week until league action is back, the squad will have Tuesday off again so that on Wednesday, they can start preparing themselves for next Sunday’s fixture against Real Zaragoza at the La Romareda Stadium (kick-off 4 p.m. Spain Time).

Keeping that in mind, a low-intensity training session took place at the team’s training base after last week's hectic schedule considering that there are a few days ahead until the trip to Zaragoza. The coaching team have decided that cycling between low-intensity and high-intensity training will be effective. Monday’s practise has included exercises to pave the way for Wednesday’s practice, which will be more intense with all the players joining the group. Some members of the squad were given the opportunity to recover as they experienced muscle soreness after the games. Akieme and Morlanes needed physio, while Ramazani, who scored while playing for Almeria ‘B’ last Sunday, was on the sidelines.

As mentioned above, Jose Gomes’ men are back in training to fully focus on Real Zaragoza on Wednesday. Ivanildo and Morlanes will miss out through suspension, while Makaridze is up for grabs between the sticks again after serving a one-game ban.
