UD Almería Genuine make strong start in LaLiga Genuine Moeve
The UDA Foundation team meet objectives in Tarragona, now setting sights on next event in January 2026
The UD Almería Genuine team completed their participation in the first phase of the 2025/26 LaLiga Genuine Moeve tournament over the weekend in Tarragona, earning valuable experience and proudly representing the Club. With their objectives met, the UDA Foundation team is now looking ahead to the second event of the season, scheduled for the end of January 2026.
Competing in the 'Sportsmanship' Group, UD Almería Genuine faced off against Real Oviedo, sharing a 0-0 draw; Real Madrid CF, securing a 3-1 victory and Deportivo Alavés, who edged them 2-1. The weekend was a celebration of inclusive football, with more than 1,000 participants from 50 clubs coming together to embrace the values of the LaLiga Genuine initiative.
The atmosphere in Tarragona was electric as the city once again became the heart of inclusive football for 3 exciting days. The event kicked off at the Nou Estadi Costa Daurada, with the Mediterranean Sports Hub hosting the first 75 matches of the season. The competition, which promotes sportsmanship and inclusion, is part of LaLiga’s ongoing commitment to foster social responsibility through football.
In addition to the matches, the teams enjoyed unforgettable moments at PortAventura World, where they participated in a joint activity at La Cantina de México on the first day of the event.
Looking ahead, the UD Almería Genuine team will now focus on the second phase of the season, which will take place in Cádiz and Gijón. Cádiz CF will host the first round of matches on January 31 and February 1, while Real Sporting de Gijón will welcome the remaining teams on 7-8 March.
