UD Almería need one point to get into play-offs
Automatic promotion is a little further away. Racing de Santander and CD Mirandés, who UD Almería still have to play against, lost on this past Matchday, as well as SD Huesca. Real Oviedo settled for a draw
UD Almería remain just one point away from the promotion play-off zone, although the positions that lead to automatic promotion to the first division are a little further away, after Matchday 34. Most of the teams fighting for the top flight were defeated over the past weekend, not just UD Almería.
Real Oviedo drew after leading at Eibar; the home side's goalkeeper made it 1-1 by heading in a corner in stoppage time. That happened on Saturday. This Sunday, CD Mirandés lost in Zaragoza; Racing de Santander lost to Levante UD and SD Huesca were defeated in Burgos.
With Elche CF still playing against Racing de Ferrol on Monday, this is how the LaLiga Hypermotion looks: UD Almería remain 7th with 53 points, but Granada CF are close behind (52) and even Burgos CF (49). The Rojiblancos also have to look back. Ahead of them, in 6th place and already in the play-offs are SD Huesca (54); Real Oviedo sit 5th (55); CD Mirandés are 4th (58); Racing de Santander, 3rd (59); Elche CF are second (60), although with a game in hand; and Levante UD lead the pack with 62 points.
The Indálicos are 1 point away from the promotion play-offs zone, but automatic promotion are 9 points away, depending on Elche CF Monday's result. The Elicitanos lead is now 7 points, which could increase to 8 or 10. On the last Matchday, second place was 6 points away.
The Rojiblancos will take on Racing de Santander in the third-to-last fixture of the season in Almería. CD Mirandés will host UD Almería at the Anduva Stadium in the penultimate game. For now, the next four matches are against opponents from the lower part of the table, some of which have a lot at stake.
