UD Almería U19s ‘A’ back to winning ways after 9-game drought

The Academy boys defeat UD Melilla 3-1 to move clear of danger in División de Honor, while the U19s ‘B’ reclaim second place in Liga Nacional

After 9 consecutive matches without a win in División de Honor, Spanish football’s top national U19s, UD Almería U19s ‘A’ rediscovered their form with a 3-1 victory over UD Melilla U19s.

The result keeps the next generation of Rojiblancos in mid-table, while extending their cushion to 7 points above the relegation zone. It is a timely boost as the season enters a decisive stretch.

There was also positive news from Liga Nacional, where UD Almería U19s ‘B’ secured victory to climb back into second place. They now sit just 2 points behind leaders Marbella. However, promotion is not possible for the lads side, as the U19s ‘A’ already compete in the higher División de Honor.

On a weekend of partial fixtures across the UD Almería Academy, with not all teams in action, there were also wins for the U14s ‘B’ and the U10s ‘B’. The U16s ‘A’ earned a draw, while the U16s ‘B’ and the U14s ‘A’ suffered defeats.
