Injured players undergo check-ups at Ripoll and Prado Sports Clinic in Almería
All of them are making progress in their recoveries so deadlines could even be brought forward. Šviderský will start doing ball work soon
The long-term injured Rojiblancos have undergone medical check-ups at the Ripoll and Prado Sports Clinic in Almería, center of Excellence FIFA located at the Power Horse Stadium facilities. The prestigious traumatologist Pedro Luis Ripoll, external consultant to the Club on medical matters, and the head of the medical services of UD Almería, Diego Portugal, have carried out a check-up on Martín Šviderský, Marc Pubill, Ibrahima Koné and Luis Suárez.
The first three were operated on by Dr Ripoll, while the Colombian striker maintains conservative treatment. All of them are making progress in their rehabilitation, and some could even shorten their recovery periods, although in this regard, it is preferred to be cautious, as Pedro Luis Ripoll explained.
Martin Šviderský will soon start doing some ball work on the pitch alone. The Slovakian footballer, who has always been training along with the first team, got injured playing for the 'B' team on the last Matchday of the league last season. He suffered a broken anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
In the current campaign, Marc Pubill also had to undergo surgery for a knee injury as well as Koné, with a fracture dislocation in his right ankle. Luis Suárez suffered a partial fracture of the fibula in his left leg, although the Colombian did not required surgery.
