UD Almería Genuine players live unforgettable experience
The UDA Foundation Rojiblancos finished undefeated at the RC Celta de Vigo sports complex with one win and two draws. Emotional farewell to player Juan Sabio
The players that are part of the Liga Genuine Santander team promoted by the UD Almería Foundation for people with intellectual disabilities lived an unforgettable experience again as they learn values such as fairness, teambuilding, equality, discipline, inclusion and respect. The Celta de Vigo Sports Complex hosted this exciting event on this occasion.
This is an integrating initiative of social responsibility and pioneer in the world. Not only sports results count, but also the teamwork and positive attitude shown by the footballers during matches.
The Genuine Rojiblancos finished undefeated with two one-all draws with hosts Celta de Vigo (1-1), and Valencia CF (1-1), as well as a 3-1 victory over CF Fuenlabrada. This last game was rather emotional since it was the farewell to UD Almería Genuine player Juan Sabio, who is moving to Germany. His team-mates gathered around him, gave him the captain's armband and promised to win and dedicate the victory to him, as it was. Juan Sabio grabbed a superb brace before saying goodbye.
More than 500 players and backroom team members 22 teams met at the Celta de Vigo Sports Complex. LaLiga President Javier Tebas was present together with RC Celta de Vigo President.
