RCD Mallorca, Girona FC and Real Oviedo arrive from the top flight, while CD Tenerife, CD Eldense, CE Sabadell and Celta Fortuna have earned promotion from third-tier Primera RFEF
The line-up for the 2026/27 season has now been confirmed following the conclusion of the promotion play-off final. UD Almería's defeat in the decisive tie completed the composition of Spain's second division for the upcoming campaign.
Relegated from LaLiga EA Sports are RCD Mallorca, Girona FC and Real Oviedo, whose places in the top flight have been taken by Racing de Santander, Deportivo de La Coruña and Málaga CF following their successful promotion campaigns.
Meanwhile, CD Mirandés, SD Huesca, Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa and Real Zaragoza have dropped out of second-tier LaLiga Hypermotion. Their places will be taken by CD Tenerife and CD Eldense, champions of the two Primera RFEF groups, as well as CE Sabadell and Celta Fortuna, who secured promotion through the play-offs.
All of these clubs are familiar opponents for UD Almería. The only new addition to the division is Celta Fortuna, the 'B' team of Celta de Vigo, who will make their debut in the tier.
Alongside UD Almería, the clubs remaining in LaLiga Hypermotion for the 2026/27 season are CD Castellón, UD Las Palmas, Burgos CF, SD Eibar, Real Sporting de Gijón, Córdoba CF, AD Ceuta FC, Albacete Balompié, FC Andorra, Granada CF, Real Sociedad 'B', Cádiz CF, CD Leganés and Real Valladolid CF.
The stage is now set for another highly competitive campaign in Spain's second tier, with UD Almería preparing for a renewed push towards promotion.
