Lopy shown 10th yellow card of season

UD Almería midfielder Dion Lopy will be unavailable for next Saturday’s crucial fixture against UD Las Palmas, direct rivals in the battle for promotion to LaLiga. The Senegalese player received his 10th yellow card of the season and will serve a one-game suspension after completing his second cycle of bookings.
He was the only UD Almería player at risk of suspension who was booked in the match, perhaps somewhat harshly by the ref. As Lopy explained in an interview with the Club’s official radio station, 'opponents go to the ground and exaggerate a lot when we challenge for the ball,' which was precisely what happened at El Plantío stadium.
With Baba now recovered from his muscle injury, although he did not travel to Burgos, Lopy is expected to be the only absentee for the important encounter against the Canary Islanders.
The UD Almería squad returned after the match in Burgos on a charter flight and the players will hold a recovery session this Sunday. Monday will be a day off before training resumes on Tuesday to begin preparations for a hugely important match against UD Las Palmas.
