Lopy to make injury return at the beginning of 2024
The Senegalese midfielder will not feature in the African Cup of Nations, a tournament in which Mendes, Baba and Marciano will participate. After the match against CA Osasuna in Pamplona, Kaiky with join up with Brazil U23 for the pre-Olympic qualifiers
UD Almería midfielder Dion Lopy is set to make his injury return at the beginning of 2024, as well as right-back Marc Pubill and centre-forward Marezi, who are now back out on he grass. The Senegalese will not feature in the African Cup of Nations so he will be available for selection. On the other hand, the head coach Gaizka Garitano cannot count on Mendes and Marciano, both called up to the Guinea-Bissau squad. Baba will be away on international duty with Ghana. Furthermore, after the match to be held in Pamplona next Thursday, 4th January, Kaiky will also join up with Brazil U23 to play in the pre-Olympic qualifiers.
The UD Almería squad members who were back in the building last Thursday after the Christmas holidays, continue to work hard ahead of their return to LaLiga EA Sports action. The first fixture of 2024 against CA Osasuna will take place in El Sadar Stadium.
