Lopy to miss CD Leganés match after 5th yellow card
UD Almería return to the Butarque stadium for the first time since earning top-flight promotion on 29 May 2022
UD Almería will head to the Butarque for their upcoming Matchday 15 fixture against CD Leganés, marking their first return to the stadium since securing promotion to top-tier LaLiga EA Sports on 29 May, 2022. However, they will be without key defensive midfielder Lopy, who is sidelined due to suspension after receiving his 5th yellow card of the season. The Senegalese will also enter a new yellow card cycle, with the booking he received in Ceuta still being counted. As a result, when the match concludes, he will have accumulated an additional yellow card on his record.
The Rojiblancos will begin the week with a recovery training session on Monday, followed by a rest day on Tuesday. Training will resume on Wednesday as the squad prepares for the upcoming match and awaits the return of several international players, including Bruno Iribarne (Spain U21), Dzôdić (Serbia U21) and Perović (Montenegro), while Soko (Cameroon) has already rejoined the team.
Chumi remains unavailable as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury, and it remains uncertain whether Léo Baptistão will be fully fit for the fixture at the Butarque stadium in Madrid.
