Let's go, it's still possible!
The Rojiblancos want to spring a surprise and achieve the first victory of the season against Atlético de Madrid this Saturday at the Power Horse Stadium. César Montes, Ramazani and Léo Baptistão are available for selection again
UD Almería are about to complete their preparations for Saturday's match against Atlético de Madrid at the Power Horse Stadium, where the Rojiblancos will try to spring a surprise and achieve the first victory of the season.
The chances of survival are slim, but their elite training and commanding performances gives them a shot. Everything, or almost everything, involves beating the Colchoneros and then going to death against Celta de Vigo the following weekend.
The players and their head coach Gaizka Garitano have been reiterating their view over the past weeks: 'A victory is coming…' although it did not come due to bad luck, unavoidable absences, unfortunate injuries, silly mistakes, the VAR....
The Indálicos certainly bring good vibes performance after performance and they are fully involved in the matches, although setbacks are still taking their toll on them in order to put an end to this nightmare.
UD Almería show threatening attacking displays, now they are solid at the back. Although Atlético are coming to the Power Horse Stadium, the before aka the Mediterráneo or the Juan Rojas, it is a venue where it has not been easy for them to get three points at once as they have only won once in Almeria. Furthermore, Cholo Someone's side, who seem to be thinking more about the Spanish Cup semi-final, are not one of the best teams in LaLiga away from home (4 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses).
This Saturday, a new opportunity exists in a bid to try to break their hoodoo once and for all. UD Almería have collected two points in a row for the first time following two hard-fought draws with Athletic Club de Bilbao and Granada CF...it could easily have been six points, so this Thursday, they have put in the graft at the Power Horse Stadium to work on the game plan to follow against Atlético de Madrid. This Friday, there will be one last practice and on Saturday, before the team get-together, the players will have a pre-match session.
