Baptistão and Guedes available; Lopy suspended
UD Almería return from Santander and begin preparations for Sunday's Málaga CF clash
UD Almería return from Santander this Monday at midday, and the travelling squad will head straight into training at the Anexo ground upon arrival. As is usually the case, it will be a recovery session for those who played the most minutes at El Sardinero Stadium, while the rest will undergo a more intense work-out. The team will have Tuesday off before resuming training on Wednesday.
Attention will then fully turn to the visit of Málaga CF, direct rivals in the push for promotion to the top flight, who sit just 1 point behind the UD Almería side. For this fixture, Rubi will be able to call on Léo Baptistão after he served his suspension, as well as Gui Guedes, who has now recovered from the muscle injury that kept him sidelined for a month.
However, Lopy will sit out the next match following his dismissal in Santander. Having been shown a straight red, he remains on 9 yellow cards, meaning he will still be one booking away from suspension when he returns.
Meanwhile, Baba finished the match in Santander with some discomfort and will be assessed. The Ghanaian midfielder was substituted at half-time.
