Léo Baptistão makes 150th UD Almería appearance

'I'm delighted to reach this milestone with UD Almería, especially on a day when we can celebrate our 6th consecutive victory,' he said on UDA Radio

Léo Baptistão made his 150th UD Almería appearance against CD Leganés, reaching a significant milestone that the Brazilian forward was delighted to celebrate. Speaking to UDA Radio, the Club's official radio station, he said: 'I'm delighted to reach this milestone with UD Almería, especially on a day when we can celebrate our 6th consecutive victory and what it means for the team.'

The Brazilian forward explained: 'It's been a period of hard work and great satisfaction, but there have also been disappointments. After so many years, I choose to focus on the good times.' This is his 5th season with the Rojiblancos, making UD Almería the Club he has represented in the most matches.

At 34, Baptistão is a shining example of dedication, hard work, consistent performances, commitment and professionalism. He joined the Club in the 2022/23 season, when UD Almería were in the Spanish top flight and has played a key role ever since.

The central defender made 38 appearances in LaLiga during that first campaign. The following season, also in the top flight, he featured 34 times, including two Spanish Cup appearances. In 2024/25, in the second tier, he was selected 41 times across the league, play-offs and Cup competition, followed by 40 appearances last season. He has featured 7 times so far this season.

150 appearances, 33 goals and 10 assists. Not bad at all.
