Léo Baptistão rejoins group training after time off due to injury
UD Almería are now setting sights on Real Madrid CF as they will be hosting the Merengues on Saturday at the Power Horse Stadium (Matchday 2)
After resting last Monday, UD Almería are back to training setting sights on Real Madrid CF with Léo Baptistão rejoining his team-mates in training. The Brazilian underwent Achilles tendon surgery back in May with an expected recovery time of 4 months.
Since the beginning of the pre-season campaign, Baptistão has been on the sidelines and during the training camp held in Benahavís, he began to do individual ball work. Then, he said to the Club's official media that his rehabilitation was on the right track despite not meeting the deadlines on time. His recovery progress is actually really positive given the fact that he is now exercising with the rest of the group.
UD Almería are gearing up towards Saturday's match against Real Madrid CF, the second game in a row to be played on home turf this season. The Rojiblancos have three more training sessions ahead of them to prepare for this exciting appointment with the firm intention of trying to spring a surprise by beating Carlo Ancelotti's team.
Wednesday and Thursday's training sessions will be delivered behind closed doors.
