Léo Baptistão reaches 100 UD Almería appearances

The Brazilian centre-forward also joins the 'centenary Club' in his third season at UD Almería. The Santos native played his 100th match against CD Mirandés at the Anduva Stadium

Léo Baptistão is another UD Almería player who has joined the 'centenary Club', a group of players who have reached 100 UD Almería appearances. Against CD Mirandés at the Anduva Stadium, he played his 100th match for the UD Almería first team.

The Brazilian forward has been with UD Almería for 3 full seasons, performing brilliantly. In fact, he is a regular in head coach Rubi's lineups, as well as in the lineup of other coaches he has had at the Club. He joined UD Almería in the 2022/23 season for the team's return to the top flight of Spanish football.

Rubi, who knew the 32-year-old centre-forward well, took a chance on him, and he didn't disappoint. He played 28 matches and scored 5 wonderful goals in his debut season.

In the 2023/24 season, also in the top tier of Spanish football, the Santos native played 32 LaLiga matches and 2 Spanish Cup ties, finding the back of the net 6 times.

In the current 2024/25 season, Baptistão has played 36 matches in the regular season and 2 in the Spanish Cup tournament. He has scored 10 goals in LaLiga, providing 5 assists, and 1 in the Spanish Cup.
