League pause with positive and negative aspects for UD Almería

The internationals will return to Almería to get on the plane and fly out to Bilbao; the injured players will perform an active recovery session instead.

UD Almería will not be in LaLiga action again until Friday, 30 September, when they visit Athletic Club de Bilbao at the San Mamés Stadium since next weekend, on the 24th and 25th September, there will be no Matchday in the Primera Division due to the FIFA Matchday of the national teams.

Up to five Rojiblancos will leave on international duty to join up with the national teams of their respective home countries and will not return until 28th September, so they will arrive in Almería city to get on another plane with Bilbao as a destination. Babić and El Bilal Touré will play for the Serbia and Mali senior squads. They have two games scheduled; the second on the 27 September in Norway and Libya, what means that they will not be able to rejoin UD Almería until 28 September at the earliest.

Milovanović, Ramazani and Samú Costa follow suit as the footballers have been called up to the Serbia, Belgium and Portugal U21s squads. The Belgians play the Netherlands and France on the 23 and 26 September and the Portuguese have a double header with Georgia on the 24 and 27 September; the second of the matches in the latter country, so Samú Costa will have another long trip back. These calls-ups will prevent Rubi from having all his troops in Almería in a week that will be vital in order to get the players together.

On the other hand, since there is no league action next weekend, the UD Almeria first team head coach could take advantage of these days to recover those players who are now absent due to different injuries with the likes of César de la Hoz, Alex Centelles and Léo Baptistão without forgetting UD Almería 'B' youngster Rojas with whom Rubi counts on his daily training sessions. This is the positive aspect of this league break, as well as working on different aspects of the game to continue improving and growing even though, not all the players are available in Almería.
