Lázaro Vinícius joins Al-Najma SC from UD Almería

The Brazilian forward heads to Saudi Arabia after mixed spell in Spain and Brazil

Lázaro Vinícius has completed a permanent move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Najma SC, parting ways with UD Almería after an agreement was reached between both clubs and the player. The 23-year-old Brazilian had been under contract with the Spanish side until June 2028.

Lázaro joined UD Almería ahead of the 2022/23 LaLiga campaign following the club’s promotion to Spain’s top flight. He made an immediate impression, scoring 6 goals in 19 league appearances and featuring in one Spanish Cup tie, with a particularly strong finish to the season.

However, his involvement with UD Almería became limited thereafter. In the 2023/24 season, he played just 14 league matches and two Cup ties before being loaned out to SE Palmeiras in Brazil in February. He remained in Brazil for the remainder of the season.

In 2024/25, Lázaro returned to Almería, now competing in the Segunda by making 15 league appearances, 2 more in the promotion play-offs and another in the Spanish Cup, scoring once. He had also featured in all 4 LaLiga Hypermotion fixtures at the start of the current campaign before sealing his move to Saudi Arabia.

UD Almería express their heartfelt gratitude to Lázaro Vinicius for his efforts and wish him success as he begins a new chapter with Al-Najma SC in Saudi Arabia.
